The Grid pop-up menu lets you set the minimum note value displayed (for example, an 8th note) while preserving more subtle timing differences in the recorded MIDI notes. Use the Grid pop-up menu, located in the Score Editor menu bar, to set the visual quantization of notes in the Score Editor, independent of their Time Quantize value. Velocity slider: Change the velocity value of selected notes. Time Quantize pop-up menu: Quantize the timing of selected notes. Insert pop-up menu: Choose the note value for notes to insert.

When individual notes in a region are selected, the following controls appear in the Score Editor inspector: Transpose slider: Change the pitch of notes in the selected regions. Time Snap ensures that your changes start at musically meaningful points in time (beats or bars), so they are in sync with other cells. Playing cells and other actions in the grid follows the current Time Snap setting. You can play back cells in a column individually, or start playback for all cells in the column simultaneously, using the trigger at the bottom of the column. Cells in a column can have different lengths (durations). Each row uses the same Touch Instrument, similar to a track in Tracks view, and only one cell in a row can play at a time.
